Image Plane 4

 Image Plane 4 provides an easy way to load images into ZBrush for use in texturing and polypainting, as well as for background reference while modeling.
  • Easily load a background image when a model is in Edit mode.
  • For ZProject polypainting, quickly change the background image without leaving Edit mode.
  • For Projection Master texturing, the image is automatically wrapped onto your model.

New in this version of Image Plane is Reference Views:
  • Store 8 different views of your model
  • Store a different reference image for each view

ZAppLink 4 for PC & Mac - Official Release

Main fixes and changes in ZAppLink v4 for ZBrush 4:

  • Multiview fixed on both Windows and Mac OSX.
  • Flipped (upside down) views on multiviews which sometimes occurred in the beta version has been fixed.
  • Issues on pixol layers have been fixed.
  • issues saving multi-views and loading them on Mac OSX have been fixed.

Some GoZBrush issues solution in ZBrush4

Well, in some cases, you might have some big problems like GoZ does not appear in Maya; GoZ does not success; GoZ will launch multiple instances of maya.

GoZ to Modo was automatic. Thanks Pixologic and Luxology!

GoZ to Maya was..., well it didn't work. Thanks Autodesk!

 這次和以往一樣推出了許多讓人眼睛為之一亮的嶄新功能,像是shadow box我就挺感興趣的。不過卻也讓我感到滿失望的就是,大家期待許久的texture/painting layer和blending mode並沒有出現,看來要在既有的zbrush軟體核心上加入上述的功能還有一段路要走。

Pixologic是有推出PolyPaint Layers for 3D painting的功能,不過離我們的期望(像Photoshop那樣的layer)還差很多。反觀,Mudbox以及3D-Coat在這部分就超前ZBrush許多,Mari當然就更不用說了!另外,在retopology部分似乎也並沒有強化,看起來Pixologic好像也不打算管這塊了,也許打算就由第三方專業的重新佈線軟體來處理就好了,這類的軟體現在也已經很多了,這麼看起來未來的製作流程除ZBrush外可能要再搭配另外的佈線軟體(雖然現在也是這樣啦~)。

不知道Sculptris的作者加入Pixologic開發團隊後,會不會替ZBrush帶來革命性的演變呢?^ ^

Leatest team work project_Alicia_OP

Hi there!

This animation is my latest team work project. It belongs to Tatung University(大同大學).

It is a OP animation for our PS3 game called "Alicia".

Seven people produce 31 second animation in 12 day(storyboard, model, texture, animation, lighting, effects, rendering and compositing).

哈嘍,前一陣子我們的案子算是做完了,這是我們遊戲"Alicia"的OP動畫。隸屬大同大學,總共七個人(其他人繼續負責遊戲製作),只有十二天左右,製作出約31秒的OP動畫,從storyboard開始一直到最後的後製合成(角色沿用之前做好的遊戲角色,所以角色模型和貼圖製作不算在內)。共十個cuts,只用一台電腦一路render到完成,同時還要拿它來工作(就是我在用的電腦啦 |||)。

這次能在這麼趕的時間之內完成,有一點剛好是因為我去日本那次,和日本一間公司交流時他們有提到曾經接過一個很趕的案子,不到一個月的時間要製作17秒的全3D足球動畫廣告,那時候就有提到一些有關他們製作流程分配上的一些做法。我想說正巧我們也遇到類似的情形(還要更趕),看能不能也有樣學樣。以結果來看我還挺滿意的,並不是作品品質多高讓我滿意,而是在團體製作上,流程與工作與時間的分配和安排,在結果上讓我算滿意。這對我來說也算是個嘗試吧。^ ^ 前製真的很重要啊,這次的製作PreViz真的是影響至深哪!

非常感謝共同製作的同事們,沒有他們的話是不可能製作出這段OP動畫的。不論作品如何,都希望你們會喜歡。^ ^

Job! Give me a job!

Hi, there!

Recently, I tried to find a new job, but still not a good news for me....

This new model is my latest work, built by an interview test(modeling). It was fully completed by Maya2009, and spent my 28 hours.

They said I had passed the test,, no further reply anything to me......= =

Ok! I want to finish this model, may be it will be my new personal work. Textureing!


之前有去面試一家公司,台灣三大動畫公司之一,當時他們要求我做個測驗,這些就是那次測驗的圖。測驗條件其實是要求製作某個人物(臉部模型),且全部用Maya製作,計錄所花費的工時。這個模型全部在Maya2009完成,共花費我大約28小時左右。結果他們是說通過測驗了啦,但到現在卻沒再跟我做任何聯繫,完全音訊全無.....= =我想我還要再去找其他家公司面試吧。
