3Ds Max 2010_100+ new modeling features

New additional tool--Graphite Modeling Tools(well, that is PolyBoost Tool(version 4.1))



Paint Deform – New set of sculpting brushes.
SubSurface Map – New version of this tool with greatly improved quality.
SwiftLoop – Preview of loops before inserting, speed improvements.
Big performance improvements throughout, especially for the PolyDraw tools and Viewport Canvas.
Topology (previously PolyTopo)- now creates geometry as you draw the grid of lines.
Edit Poly modifier support for all PolyDraw tools.
and many more workflow improvements.



新增加的建模工具--Graphite Modeling Tools(其實就是PolyBoost Tool(版本 4.1)的功能。)

有在用3DsMax的user一定很熟悉,PolyBoost在之前是3DsMax建模上相當知名且方便的Plugin。
現在,在3DsMax2010上已是內建的工具了。

從Area看到的一些主要特色,包括:
Paint Deform(一些雕塑模型的工具組)
SubSurface Map(不大了解Max,從CGTalk中來看大概是以前SSS的效果現在可以用Map的形式呈現)
SwiftLoop(加強的Loop功能)
Big performance improvements throughout, especially for the PolyDraw tools and Viewport Canvas.(全面性的改進,尤其對於PolyDraw tools和Viewport Canvas)
Topology (previously PolyTopo)(可以用畫的方式來重新佈線)
Edit Poly modifier support for all PolyDraw tools.(原先的多邊形編輯都可以支援現在的新功能)

不過,看完現在所公佈的訊息後,好像大部分的功能,免費軟體Blender也可以做到啊!
當然是一定有差距啦,不過看起來好像差距並沒有像兩者間的價差一樣那麼樣大。
